Pros
Psion has some good employee benefits, in addition, if you are in the right group then you get some lieu time and work life balance. Seen people work from home, take unrecorded time off (in lieu), but sometimes it is abused. Blackberrys galore, and if you are in the right group you can get the latest technology.
Cons
Lack of recognition of efforts, that is until you are ready to leave. A lot of favouritism, if you are senior managements best friend you will get your golden handouts, promotions, salary increases etc even if you are the most unproductive employee. Lots of people in roles that they are not qualified for and would be fired in any other decent organization. The good talkers are the movers in this organization, management needs to look past the schmooze and start looking for results.
