Cons
Impossible to cover in a single review... 1. The years long, on-going PCG Cares-Less campaign whereby employee compensation is held down at pitiful levels by senior management. This is largely accomplished through a rigged annual review process where employees are beat over the head for the slightest negatives and hard won achievements and accomplishments are downplayed. This produces ratings of 3 out of 5 for the majority of people and hence no promotion or significant pay increases. Additionally, nearly all open positions which would represent a step up for current employees are systematically, quickly, and magically filled with outside candidates before any internal employee can react. PCG does not grow employees internally. They do not. Do not believe anything they may tell you in an interview. If you have ever seen that commercial for an insurance company where the fisherman controls a dollar on one end of the fishing pole, and then continually pulls it away from the woman, then you have seen a very good summation of the PCG experience. Basically, you are born a peasant here, and die a peasant. 2. If you think micro management is the next big thing, then you have a home here. 3. If you think arrogance beyond all bounds in your senior managers and managers is a positive, then you have a home here. 4. If you enjoy experiencing corporate reorganizations which will likely turn out to be case studies at business schools on how NOT to perform a corp re-org, then you have a home here. 5. If you are considering a position at PCG, please carefully review the last four months or so of reviews posted here. You will note numerous 4 and 5 star reviews. These have all been posted by PCG managers and/or HR in order to raise the Glassdoor rating of PCG from about 1.6 earlier in the year to the 3.5 now. The current rating is fraudulent. All of these reviews are written in a similar style, tenor, and share catch words like "meaningful work", "growth", "fast paced culture" and other stupidities. They even throw in negatives to throw readers off the trail as to their true origin. Very clever guys. The negatives included in these reviews are usually things like "too much growth" or "too much start up culture" which of course are not real negatives at all and insulting to the reader. The laughable similarity of these review is likely the result of a template being passed out to managers to follow and no one broke too far from it. If you join this organization, these are the type of people you are working for so consider carefully.
