The work we do at PCG genuinely makes a difference in the lives of people served by state and local government. Most people who work here are highly motivated by the work we do and are not just in it for the money. Employees are also given many great opportunities to influence their own salary outcomes.

Cons

The work pace is demanding and may not be the right fit for all lifestyles. But the opportunities are high for those who want to make the commitment.

Pros

You receive project ownership early in your career and operate with relative autonomy. There is less travel than many other consulting firms. You interact with clients early in your career. Individual offices set their own culture.

Cons

There is little emphasis on development. Supervision and leadership is poor, uninvolved, and disconnected. Advancement opportunities are limited. The workload is much heavier for entry level positions than it is for senior level employees. Turnover is high. Projects are understaffed. The CEO appears to be very strong, but the rest of management are not contributing to his vision.
