Pros
You are at least allowed to go home at 6pm. But I wouldn't say you're done working. The only positive thing I can think of is They pay you on time.
Cons
Ok- notice how most of the recent reviews from October are from Regional Managers, claiming how "upper management" is so personable? That's because you won't find any other employees giving them that credit. That's false. They are so far out of reality. They never visit a property unless they are being visited from their bosses, then it's all a dog-and-pony show, and will flat out lie about being in the field with the employees. I literally have a Regional Manager that doesn't know half my team and has never been to 30% of my properties. Pay is very low compared to other District Managers at other storage companies. I know this because most of PS Managers leave for that very reason. For about 4 days each month, you're cutting locks all day. Other storage companies do not require DMs to cut locks. Look- turnover with Property Managers is so high, all you do as a DM is recruit and hire, and scramble to fill your schedules with a warm body to hopefully get your property open on time. This is causing the District Managers to start jumping ship because the work sucks. There are so many DMs leaving, or in the process of leaving, that I feel bad for the current DMs that will be having to run their own districts, plus keep others afloat since there will be open districts. Because of the high DM turnover, you are now seeing Regional Managers posting 5-star reviews on Glass Door hoping they can fool you into thinking this is a great company. There is no personal development here- nobody has the time.
