Pros

Very diverse clientele. Competitive work environment great work flow. Consistent work schedules; I've had 2 District managers and BOTH were very positive. Andrew Ton is the newest and youngest but has THE BEST MOTIVATION SKILLS! Another great shoutout Rob Fragoso who understands each of his managers very well. They both care about family.I have learned so much regarding the dynamics of not just this company, but any company. This corporation is located all over the states so u are never "stuck" . You want Hawaii, you want New York... They have them EVERYWHERE. Great resume builder as this company's reputation and name are known and respected. Most but not all facilities have an apartment on site which is a bonus for single parents , small families, retired couples or students. You live rent, water and electricity bill free!!

Cons

It can be hard work, the lazy will not make it!! Weekends are mandatory but you work hard and they will work just as hard for you. This world and its dynamics are forever changing so there are always changes within the structure of how things are run but it's to be expected.

Pros

Stepping stone to learn the Storage business if that's what you want to do. Good way to see how employees should not be treated.

Cons

From reading posted reviews seems that those who are in the Glendale corporate office are treated like humans. Can't say the same for the rest of us in the actual storage facilities. District mangers are basically puppets who are not allowed to make decisions. Pay, bonus, time off, benefits, are all below industry standards. Company places unrealistic demands on field personal. Only a few ever make bonus. In the years I was with the company I had time off, benefits, and bonus taken away. The merchandise they sell is sub par and grossly over priced. They think customers are idiots. Employee safety is a big issue for field personal. I have heard of some employees fixing locks and doors with their own money because management would not. That's pretty bad. I have no idea what people are talking about in regards to advancement. Basically you can become a trainer which gets you peanuts as compensation. That's it. You go no further. District mangers are recruited from outside of the company. Takes them a year to learn the business. By then they are either fired or they are running fast to another job. Turnover at this company is astounding. HR is a joke. I saw employees report district managers for egregious behavior. HR did nothing. On the contrary, within six months some one above fired the employees. Trust me. This company borders on evil.

Pros

The people are great. Atmosphere is easy going. I'm able to balance work and personal life with ease. My commute is great. The company is solid. I'm happy and comfortable here.

Cons

Nothing major, but do notice when little things here and there are no longer offered. It just gets the mind wondering about reasons why or might make one feel a little less valued?
