      The pay is good for the easy work you do.

      Cons

      If you have a family you can forget ever seeing them. The hours are not flexible. And you will always work weekends.

      The Stock Option was a great incentive to accept the postion.

      The job title of District Manager is just a fancy word for "baby-sitting" low-minded employees. Public Storage is NOT open to creativity or new ideas. Upper mgmt is quick to say: "it's not how we do it at Public Storage". Promotion is not based on your performance but whether or not upper mgmt likes you. Granted this company is a billion $ industry, however front-end employees are treated more like "slaves" rather than "assets". Whenever I met with my Senior District Manager or Regional VP, I had to discuss the ranking of front-end employees that I wanted to terminate. Imagine dealing with employees that are always in defensive mode and see you as an enemy when you try to coach them. I take pride in developing employees rather than getting rid of them the moment they face a challenge.

      Pros

      Ive been working for public storage for some time now, and i cant say i relate to the reviews im seeing on here. From the beginning, the SDM who hired me has been very confident in my abilities. He has shown me much encouragement & continously gives me props for what i do. My DM is absolutely phenomenal. He listens to my every need and responds to every text message and call almost immediately. He also gives me a sense of security, he lets me know hes here for me and hes got my back. I dont know if its the region im in, but in my district we work as a team. I couldnt be happier. For those complaining about numbers and scripts, we are SALES people. Of course theyre going to expect good numbers from us!

      Cons

      Having to work every weekend lol , but of course you know this will be required from the moment you are interviewed. If youre going to complain about it, just dont take the job.
