Cons

Worked at Public Storage for 8 yrs and several months. Upper management talks down to the property managers. Public Storage needs to realize that the property managers are the key to this companies success. Horrible pay not all employees have access to running water or a place to use the restroom. Can't believe I was all these yrs on this company.

Pros

This company is stable and is doing well financially. To quote the CEO with one of his famous inappropriate quotes: "This business pukes cash". Unfortunately, you won't see any of it.

Cons

Any positive review written on this company is either enforced by the management or written by them. Public Storage is not a people business, the leadership doesn't care about the people and will do anything to cut back on pay, PTO, benefits, etc. Pay is very low and possibilities to grow only to the level of property manager. You will have to work based on scripts and will be micromanaged. Very little respect for the people that actually do the work.

Pros

Decent pay but if you don't like strict structure, then do something else.

Cons

I worked there many years so my schedule was 7am-3pm so my calls were good. If you're new, your hours are late and the calls are not good. Very hard to get a good schedule and to get time off. Very difficult to get promoted. In order to bonus, you must take time off work because taking less calls will get you to the bonus level. Sounds weird but the less you're on the phone, your bonus chances increase. But now you must work less meaning you get paid less all in the hopes of getting a bonus which is still not guaranteed. Your schedule is lottery so no days and times are guaranteed.
