Legacy company had decent people, once acquired by Sapient the boutique culture was disappearing. Unlimited Vacation so they don't have to pay you any $$ when you exit the firm. Layoffs are ongoing even though our sector was profitable. They will sell you a bonus structure but they won't deliver on it.

Cons

Company favors Indians on H2b Visas, they dislike and do not promote female employees. No work/life balance. Snakes in the grass everywhere. People snitching on one another to advance themselves. Terrible place to work.

I worked at Sapient before the merger with Razorfish for 4 years. The culture is amazing and people are welcoming to everybody. The work-life balance and options to work from home are splendid. Plus, the perks of cookie Monday through fun bus Friday with in office kegerators and snacks are amazing and certainly help the longer days seem better!

Cons

Recently had an interview to rejoin the organization as Sapient Razorfish. Went through the interview process, received an offer and we agreed upon a start date that allowed me to give my current (at the time) employer 2-weeks notice. Everything was wonderful. Then, the 2 weeks went by, I heard nothing. I reached out and was informed there had been a delay in the process and they’d have to push back to start date slightly - okay no big deal! Fast forward a few weeks, after I repeatedly had to reach out for updates and information on what was going on with sometimes no response, I finally got an answer that there was a “hiring freeze” and they could no longer hire me. Accident or not, they put me in a horrible position by having already quit my current job based on our agreement to work with them. Now I am unemployed because of their neglect. I would be very cautious and aware. If they’re willing to treat a former employee, with good standing and internal references, how are they going to treat a newcomer? I will never trust them or seek employment at Sapient or any of the Publicis subsidiaries again.
