Pros

Pulte's best asset is their employees. When the market is good, you can make great money.

Cons

With the down market, this is not a good time to work for Pulte. If you meet your goal one month then you are praised, but if you miss your goal the next month then management completely forgets about the good month you just had. Management does not consider factors that are beyond your control. Over the last year or so, it has been very hard to watch how quickly Pulte will turn their back on their employees. You can work here for years, dedicate so much of your time into this company, and management shows no remorse for letting people go. The majority of all the employees are very unhappy. It is no longer a good working atmosphere. They are taking advantage of the difficult economy & mistreating their employees because they think they are afraid to find another job. The reason people are sticking around is because they actually like the job itself and their co-workers, but eventually all these unrealistic demands from management are going to cause their employees to go somewhere else.

Pros

Pulte doe a great job with training and career development. They have put a ton of money into developing their people and processes. Most builders in the industry recognize that and look to hire employees with experience from them. The work place was professional, very well supported by all aspects of the organization, and employees are given everything that they need to be successful. Work/life balance in the construction industry is never all that great, but Pulte recognizes this and offers a compensation package that includes lots of personnal time. Overall I was satisified with my experiences there.

Cons

Large Builder ,means less opportunity for career growth as there is a ton of compentition for promotion, and they tend to reward seniority.
