Pros

The culture is a huge focus for the company and it shows in the morale around the office and in the field. The motto "Do the Right Thing" is often preached and the company really does stand behind it. They allow you to make mistakes as long as you learn from them and I think that is what makes for an amazing team. It really is not only great to work for an awesome company, but also great to work with awesome co-workers. The hiring process Pulte follows is more about if you are the right fit for the company culture-wise rather than what your previous experience might have been - you can always train the right people!

Cons

Due to the reductions in staff with the declining housing market, the work load is increasing by the day for those of us that are left... and it often doesn't match to the appropriate pay grade. But overall, it is still a great place to work.

Pros

Competitive pay, not for someone who doesn't like meetings

Cons

The management is poor - more managers than workers. Very much run by the good ol boys. Working hours are greater than 40 hours a week and you are basically thrown into the pit with no lifelines.

Pros

work hours, work from home arrangements.

Cons

Extremely political in IS. IS management is useless and has SA/BA promoted to director positions just because they are good at kissing ass. They have then promoted their "yes-people" to senior positions and has a result IS has lost several very competent people. If you want to learn what not to do when it comes to leading IS teams and projects, spend a year here.
