The “pay band” process does not work as during merit process, they force it to bell curve so you will be docked points just to fit into their curve and they are honest about it!! They tell you that “i had to dock you points because you didn’t fit into the curve” which will effect merit.

School keeps figuring out ways not to give raises. The newest is the Job Family & Salary Band structure; placement on the grid can hurt you financially, but it can't help you. They keep reducing our health benefits while trying to spin it as if its a positive thing. They insist that staff come to work when students are dismissed due to weather. They insist that staff come to work with no working plumbing in our building Employees must come to work in the winter when we have no working heat The above can be summarized; Purdue cares nothing about its employees.
