      Met some coworkers who became friends

      Downsizing and shifting of responsibilities with no additional compensation Managers extremely unprofessional Multiple times asked direction of position growth and was told there was none while was originally told I would have alot of opportunties when interviewing Had job responsibilities moved to different designers multiple times Moved my job to be hourly after 2 years of working as a salaried employee

      Pros

      The people at QVC are great and that's what makes it a sometimes enjoyable place to work. When Claire Watts was the CEO everything was great and she really had a true vision for the company. I was so inspired by her. After she left things really went downhill in all areas of the business.

      Cons

      I was in the merchandising area of QVC for 4 years. There was a hiring freeze recently because the company has not been doing well, and they laid off 100 people in one day back in September 2016, while other people who sucked at their jobs still got to stay employed. I enjoyed my job but new ideas were never executed because it was always the "we tried that before and it didn't work" mentality. Merchandising was always on the line and honestly responsible for EVERYTHING. I went to my director to discuss my boss because he was not running the business properly or assisting in my growth, and she listened and then completely dismissed my concerns.
