Pros

I really liked my position. It was challenging and motivating. I liked all the experience there in my position. I loved every minute of it. Top management (CEO) was not easy peasy but that was not negative after all and we had a good work relationship.

Cons

Politics could be very sticky sometimes - hard to relax. Always on tip-toes at times. It is vital to read between lines and anticipate what is going to happen and who is going where and doing what. My salary was satisfactory as I negotiated well - well prepared & give first and take later on. However, others, especially inexperienced staff and new-comers (late-comers) had struggled their way through. Disciplinary and grievance issues everywhere under water.

Pros

Some people absolutely love working at QVC but it all depends on what department you work in. The only benefit to working there were the phenominal employee sales at Studio Park.

Cons

Based on my experience (in the now-closed-West Chester Call Center), the majority of the supervisors empowered themselves to be wardens, treating the QVC customer service representatives as machines. Upper management was complacent for way too long and the poorly trained supervisors were abusive and constantly undermined the decisions made by the reps who were told they must follow QVC's policies at all times. The supervisors allowed abusive customers (and believe me, there were many) to continue to take advantage of QVC, costing the company a ton of money and ultimately negatively impacting the morale of the reps.
