Pros

Benefits, salary, camaraderie, desire to get the job done, feeling you were accomplishing something good for the company.

Cons

Once the merger (with HSN) happened the atmosphere was poisoned. Negative energy prevailed. Starting laying off higher salary people no matter how valuable they were business and systems-wise they were. Caused disorganization and inability to get anything accomplished.

Pros

QVC is in a position with a rapidly aging audience who uses an archaic means of shopping(TV). QVC is currently faced with a position that they need stay relevant as they are they most 'unhip' brand to anyone under the age of 50. They have a very loyal fanbase and they are very happy with the brand but it's a real long term threat that QVC is currently trying to address. Pros; Salary is on par with other companies in the area(a little lower then some of the big guys like SAP..etc) Decent benefits. They are pretty standard for any of the large companies in the area(matching 401k..health..etc). Very nice cafeteria in Studio Park. Its overcrowded but I can't complain Starbucks(not as good as a real one but it will do) Some nice freebies in Studio Park(Vendor handing out coffee, snacks..etc) Ok vacation(not great but it's fine) Work from home options You can get promoted fast if you play the game correctly which is political most of the time

Cons

Morale is at all time low. More changes internally in 2015 then I think there has ever been. Upper management keeping everyone in the dark on purpose and have scheming for a few years now Cafeteria at Founders Park location is small and understaffed compared to Studio Park location. Not uncommon to see the girl cooking food run out from behind the counter to check people out at the register(bush league operation) Lots of positions are currently being off-shored to India in an effort to get rid of a lot of employees who have been with the company for 10-20 years. 100K salaries adds up quick so they are looking to cut expense. Internal demotions are all over the place with directors and managers losing their titles QVC is forcing all employees to take anti-union classes which are disguised as employee relation classes. The class is literally goes into details on why unions are bad and who internally you should contact if you spot any union activity (im not joking about this! ) Parking at Studio Park is bad but they are taking steps to improve it Not enough bathrooms at Founders Park No budget for training employees
