Pros

* Amazing product and technology. Absolute best in the market, but it's a hidden gem. Very few know the true power and value of the associative engine. * Competitive pay. For those that have been here for a while, the pay is very good. * Great work/life balance. Flexible work hours, remote working, and time off is excellent.

Cons

* Cost cutting. Since going private, the focus is on cost cutting and short-term revenue. Very little focus on customer success, training and enablement, or doing the right thing. * No culture/identity. The Swedish culture and Qlik's core values were very unique and a huge differentiator. Those core values are no longer here at Qlik. Instead, everyone just works on their own things, rarely communicates or seek advise or help, and nobody seems to care anymore. It's just a job. * Management. Very out of touch with the people, technology, and customers. Rarely visit customers. The same senior managers that got us into this mess (e.g. grossly missed in Q4/2015, which caused the stock to drop and ultimately lead to Qlik going private) are the ones still leading the company. They made $Ms on the stock, more $Ms when Qlik went private, and have more $Ms in stock in the new private company.

Old school, good old boys' club with out-dated products

Pros

Both Qlik and Talend have established products with brand recognition. Promotion is possible as many quality people are leaving the company and creating vacancies.

Cons

Thoma Bravo and Qlik senior leadership have decided to boost their value as much as possible to sell us to another company. That means quoting existing customers exorbitant uplifts with no notice or time to find a more affordable alternative. These customers will spend 2024 looking for new vendors. This is no longer a customer-centric company but one that will take advantage of anyone to increase EBITDA. After the sale, upper management will receive huge payouts but those of us who are left will hold the bag for disgruntled customers bound to churn. Both the Qlik and Talend products are well known in their respective categories but lack of innovation has caused them to be viewed by our customers as legacy tools that are being replaced with newer technology. Management is very much a Good Old Boys' Club with very little diversity of any kind. Women should not apply - you will not be valued. Even if you are hired, you will be ignored or made the scapegoat as male favoritism rules the day. Tactics from the top down include more of a stick than a carrot approach where knee-jerk reactions are commonplace but strategic long-term thinking is absent. I would not recommend working here until we are sold to a company with a more modern management style and an innovative product roadmap.

Pros

The software is just awesome and has a very powerful engine that flat out works. Huge potential in the product. A big plus is the $15 Million dollar Boondoggle that the company takes every single employee to each year. This last year Cancun, crazy for a public company but fun for the average worker at shareholder expense.

Cons

The Swedes are probably kicking themselves for moving the HQ to the US. The clowns that run the company out of the Philly area don't have a clue. It's the most toxic sales culture I've ever seen. The nepotism runs wild there. The multiple layers of management have no leadership skills, they simply micro-manage deals in Salesforce like they have nothing better to do. They are not taking market share but only getting what the market gives them. The partner network is huge but again like most things at Qlik mismanaged and out of control.
