The business model and product are still working toward the original goal to being a product focused business. Changes such of this can be confusing and misunderstood but we do believe in our strategy and mission. Our mission best defines our purpose: We empower companies to acquire, engage, and monetize their audiences by embedding superior intelligence. This is what we strive to deliver, develop and do each day here at Quaero.

A company that wants "A" players, Not the rest

Pros

Quaero is without a doubt a company that promotes an environment for talented people. It is not in any means a "Hire and Fire" company, nor one with a "hostile" work environment. It's sad that a few non-talented disgruntled former employees aren't mature enough to take accountability for themselves or their actions in which led to their terminations. Yes, you're expected to work hard, think independently, be creative and have a professional ethic...but WOW, is that such a crazy expectation? I've worked with this company for many years and have enjoyed every minute of it. Management rewards hard work and are very fair and proactive to provide coaching when you're having a challenge. They want you to succeed. For those whom do not put forth effort, well...there's truly no free rides in life - good luck with thinking there are.

Cons

Sure, there are challenges just as there are with any company you work with...roll up your sleeves and suck it up.

Pros

Free tea and soda. Nothing else I can think of.

Cons

Firing is not based on your performance .if they find that they can replace you with a lower cost resource you will be told to leave. As a result there is a lot of attrition . For the few months that you stay with the company you will be made to work hard and the maximum work will be sucked from you. You are expected to work on weekends as well. Everyday you will turn up to work thinking "when will I be fired" . This will create a lot of stress.

Unfortunately, we experienced several voluntary and involuntary terminations due to our migration to a product focused company. We also have opened up a Bangalore entity and it is part of our overall organizational strategy to provide financially competitive solutions to our customers; however, we are building an international product development and delivery capability, and creating a product organization with strength in both sites.
