Pros

The role involved a lot of repetitive processing, which taught me consistency and accuracy. I’m now hoping to take on responsibilities that allow me to use a broader range of skills.

Cons

There’s limited room for career growth or development without relocating or changing departments.

Pros

They'll train you in the lab in any area you're interested in.

Cons

As a lab assistant, they do not care about you or making your job harder if it makes the life for the techs a lot easier. People will report you for any little thing you do. You can breathe too loud and someone will report you.Pay is not at market rate.

Pros

Set schedule, easy tasks, workload is pretty consistent

Cons

Monotonous, really just a stepping stone position for me, or retirement position for others
