Pros

You are able to get bonuses. But your bonuses TOTALLY depends on the store as a whole- NOT you as an individual.

Cons

1. YOUR FEET WILL HURT ALL THE TIME. 2. You work as a Night Assistant-ALONE( Not safe) 3. No breaks 4. They lie and tell you will make $39,000 and you WILL NOT!!! Your bonuses for profit and customer service TOTALLY depends on the entire store staff. 5. You have to pay for additional shirts and pants (only given 3 shirts when you start for a Full Time job) 6. DO NOT BECOME A NIGHT ASSISTANT! You are expected to pick up the slack for all other lazy staff members which is not fair. 7. You will work EVERY FRIDAY SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. 8. Once they convince you to go on Emergency Relief- you will get an extra $1.50 in pay but will have to drive to a different store every night- not knowing what BS you may walk into. I am only there now because I feel trapped. No one will hire me with my current employment is a gas station attendant. 9. Upper level management does not care about managers who have been there a long time and don't do there job because they have seniority. Lastly 10. They have these brainwashing training sessions, to get you to believe you will have stock ownership and so many other perks but in actuality you will only get those perks if you work at a gas station-QuikTrip over 20 years.

Pros

Co-workers and most managers are amazing. I’ve met some of my greatest friends at QT. In my opinion besides the pay, that’s hands down the best part about QuikTrip. The pay is really good considering you don’t need a degree. Starting pay is a little rough but if you stick to it you can make some good money working here. There’s tons on incentive to move up and the bonuses can be top notch if you work your way up to a high volume store.

Cons

Work-Life balance is extremely hard to deal with unless you’re a store manager. You’re life will unfortunately have to revolve around QuikTrip if you’re really wanting to move up. Most of my friends are QT employees because we all work a similar schedule. You have to work all holidays which is a drag because they’re near impossible to get off. The schedules are pretty bad, minimum 9-10 hours and you get no breaks and no lunch. This job eventually wears you down over time due to the constant standing and no downtime. Managements is definitely detached from how things really are there now. At one point we promoted within that way people that worked in the office understood where store employees were coming from, since we shifted into a food, fast food business about 90% of people in the office never had to work in this environment. It feels like they stick their heads in the sand when it comes to real problems that occur day to day. Training standard has dropped substantially. I use to take pride in my job because of the standard we held but not anymore. It feels like we’re just another business cutting the bottom line to make money.

Horrible Experience

Pros

Not many, they hire everyone which temporarily kept a little cash flow coming while i looked for work elsewhere. Lasted 3 months before i found something else. They have a relief person which travels to cover shifts, worked out great for me if i had an interview the following day. There is quite a good culture, they employee quite a few people who otherwise could not do as well outside of the company, if you have marketable skills though you can do way better than this place.

Cons

Too many to list. Pay was a bait and switch tactic. Offered 40k+ in salary, wich was 11 dollars an hour plus 2 different bonuses. My 3 monts with the company i averaged less than 400 dollars a month in bonus, a fully worked schedule would barely break 30k a year. The store manager i worked under was a terrible person. Accused me of stealing money on one occasion, causing me to blow up on him in front of a few customers. End of the day he counted the registers wrong and had to apologize to me in front of the entire store. Working overnight sucks. The roller grills are disgusting, and are rarely cleaned properly. Do not eat anything that is not piping hot off of one of these as it will be contaminated. They could care less where you are placed, had to drive past 12 qt locations to get to my store. Turnover is high, which is expected based on the industry. Workers with long tenure are paid better and grandfathered into an older pay structure. New employees are not so lucky. Require a 45 hour week for managers, not bad but there are a few different schedules. Nights are terrible, RA is a mix of days and nights which would be worse in my opinion, both disrupt sleep schedules significantly reducing quality of life. Schedules here are too taxing on the body unless you move up the ladder to 1A or store manager which requires too long of a timeframe.
