Pros

Very great bonuses, pay & benefits. An entry level NA or RA will pull in close to $600, pretax amount a WEEK! On the 3rd week of the month, you'll get your bonuses including the CSA and Profit Bonus, just to name a few. Depending on how well you store scores on your CSA & how much profit you store has made for the previous month, you will usually have a combined bonus of $850+, pretax dollars on top of your almost $600 payroll check for that week. The hours are long, but you may take a "Partial Shift" if one is available & an ERP (Extra Relief Personnel) will come relieve you & you get to go home! You are allowed 10 paid sick days, 5 Personal days & 2 weeks of PTO with the option of buying an additional 2 weeks off, if you choose. Overall, it's very easy work.

Cons

There are no actual breaks nor is there a break room. Assistants & Managers are expected to work 9+ hour days without sitting down or getting more than 10 minutes to eat something. If your Manager does not match the hours needed for your DAW (Daily Activity Worksheet), you will struggle to get everything done in accordance with CD Guidelines. Entry level management has two openings; The Night Assistant or the Relief Assistant. The Night Assistant schedule doesn't allow you to have a social life easily & the Relief Assistant schedule doesn't allow you to have a standard sleep schedule. (You'll work 2-11 pm one day, then 10 pm - 7 am the next two days, you get one day off then you have to work 5 am until 3 pm the following day) If you cannot handle feedback & criticism well, you will fail at this job.

Pros

The pay is good and the benefits are excellent.

Cons

I got a job at QuikTrip as an Assistant Manager after I finished graduate school. I worked there for a year and a half and got a pretty good grasp of the ins and outs. I worked incredibly hard while I was there. Yet praise was incredibly scarce and practically nonexistent. I worked nights for a year and worked at over 40+ stores as an ERP. Even when I had the store spotless, the manager the next morning would try to find something wrong. I understand having high standards, but the demand for perfection was crushing many times. The assistant manager schedules there are horrible. They range from 46-50 hours a week and there are no lunch or breaks during your shift. Each shift runs between 8-10 hours. If you have a family or outside social life, forget it. I worked every other shift other than overnights—even the holy grail of QT, the Manager's schedule (weekends off) and was still very disappointed. I felt incredibly overlooked and used while being there. I felt unappreciated no matter how hard I worked. I was simply one cog in the machine that made the store run. Other managers often put others down. I never understood why so many people claimed to have such high job satisfaction while being there. Finally I realized that the way to be easily promoted is to brown-nose. Say the right thing, sell your soul to the company, never call in or take any time off, and you will be promoted quickly. Luckily I was able to get out of QT and got a job in my field and am very happy now. The stress and overload there was not worth it.

Pros

Great opportunity for advancement if you're liked by your supervisors.

Cons

Used to be an amazing place to work. The more they get into the food industry, the more the job becomes less desirable. They keep cutting hours and cutting corners resulting in more work for the same pay. They used to pay the best in the industry, now they're nothing but average. A lot of broken promises. Keep pushing you harder and harder without any benefit to you. More work for less pay.
