Terrible Upper Management

Pros

The teams you work with makes QuinStreet a worthwhile work environment. I've met hard working, passionate people through QuinStreet.

Cons

With that said, people tend to gain experience and leave QuinStreet, or leave burned out because of the upper managements inability to cultivate teams. When targets are not met there are expectations of huge layoffs.

Not a great place to build a career

Pros

There are still some good people left here if you meet the right ones. Depending on the role, you'll get exposure and experience working with data. Also, there's free bagels on wednesdays and pizza the last friday of every month.

Cons

There's been big layoffs, which doesn't make for a good work environment. A lot of the old timers, especially management seem more concerned with job preservation than company progress. Mistakes get covered up and blame is assigned to others. Not a productive environment when people spend more time defending themselves than finding real solutions. There is a high turnover rate as employees get frustrated by all this and keep leaving.

Pros

Overall, my experience was decent. Decent work culture, but it varied heavily by department. Pretty small teams so you had a lot of work that kept you busy and made you learn/stay organized.

Cons

There's been so many upper management changes due to the instability of the company and market place. It seems like upper management is still trying to figure out what to do to survive. The lack of policy, processes, and accountability is astounding for a company generating as much money as they do. The disorganization among all department is a fair representation of the current state of the company. Departments lack clear and basic communication skills to effectively run operations and generate revenue. Lastly, there's very little room for advancement. There's no clearly defined org chart, which makes everything more complicated.
