Pros

The facility that you work in will make or break your experience at RRD. If you have a good Plant Manager, who looks out for the employees, and shields them from all of the Corp crap, it's a good place to work. If you aren't lucky to have a good Plant Manager it can be pretty miserable.

Cons

Raises are small, cost of living type, so if you work hard there is little additional compensation. Often times there isn't any upward mobility, because management rarely leaves, and when they do they often times don't fill those positions.

Pros

The people that work there including mid level managers were great to work with. Decent pay and life work balance.

Cons

Since Moore Wallace management took over, went from being top of the line service provider to penny pinching low cost commodity provider. Constantly trying to figure how to do more with less.

Pros

Management is flexible, easily to communicate with and truly cares about the employees. For being a Fortune 500 company, the atmosphere at RRD feels more like what you'd find at a smaller laid-back company. Employees at RRD work for a common goal and the teamwork I've seen at all levels far surpasses what goes on at other employers I've worked for.

Cons

Company is on the rebound so financial benefits are hit or miss. The 401k match seems to be a year to year decision & the company has been very stingy with raises/bonuses the past year or two.
