Pros

R2 will teach you a variety of skills, BUT WITH ZERO TRAINING. Learn as you go after a half day of terminology training. You can wear what you want, say what you want and do just about anything at work. It's a good job for someone who has never held a career type position and does not care about an actually professional office environment. PROMOTIONS ARE AVAILABLE IF YOU WANT TO MOVE ACROSS THE COUNTRY.

Cons

LOW SALARY/NO COMMISSION OR BONUSES. NO TRAINING. EXCEEDINGLY INAPPROPRIATE EXPECTATIONS. NO RESPECT. (Don't believe them, it's not likely to get anything beyond your TINY SALARY. R2 IS MORE LIKE A FRATERNITY THAN A COMPANY. This company will ride you harder than anyone in your entire life for a small salary of 32000/yr. You will be expected to be available 24/7/365 and get nothing but your salary with a headache included.

Every employee is eligible to earn bonuses from day one of employment at R2 Logistics. Sales bonuses and monthly employee recognition bonuses are awarded to employees that earn them. R2 Logistics does operate 24/7/365 days a year to our customers, responsibilities are rotated and contact during off hours is an exception.

Pros

8 hours of thorough training right into a "jack of all traits" position helped with my adjustment to new surroundings. Management has strong skill set in "do or die" motivation tactics. CEO and VPs promote a glass door view into the the companies profitability by sending out daily reports on their success. Commission makes a huge difference when you get to the 1 year mark, I was content with the annual salary of $31,000 because of the great benefits but the .005% commission really made the difference for me. The night phones once a week and once a month mandatory weekend appearance definitely helped me manage my time and learn how to perform on little hours of sleep

Cons

Some of the language used in the office I did not care for, definitely not a work atmosphere for the weary. Management consist of a close group of buddies who have built a solid business model on the false hope that there is life after being a pod leader or branch manager. HR seems to be all over the reviews here so I am curious as to how a company can encourage its employees to write positive reviews and HR can fill out ones for workers who are "too busy" ? Promotions consist of taking on more responsibility for a little pay increase, which I understand is typical in most promotions, but then putting it on your shoulders to pay the hungry eyes that assist in your pods operations is just mean. Turn over is high but the transportation industry in its own right has above average turnover. It is a great place to start out but a future is not here and its the truth. Any advancement is based on your relationship with the CEO and VP which is hard to do when they only came to our office to point out the negatives.

Pros

Your career is 100% in your control at R2 Logistics. They provide plenty of teaching, time, and opportunity. If you are willing to work hard and learn, then you will advance your career. As the company continues to grow, there continues to be more available promotions. The atmosphere is fast-paced and fun, it is not your normal desk job. If you can adjust on the fly with the ever changing markets you will succeed. The pay is performance based. Everyone has a salary and can earn plenty of incentives from day 1. You have direct control over how much money you make! You are rewarded for your hard work. Commissions are a direct reflection of the work put in from day to day.

Cons

This job is not for everyone, as the hours can be long and it can be stressful, but this is one of the few places that will advance quickly if you are willing to put in hard work.
