Pros

Health insurance and learning basic knowledge of the logistics industry

Cons

Management (branch manager in my office did not have the first clue as to how to run an office), total lack of teamwork, immature coworkers, no one taking responsibility for anything, horrendous music being played so loud you can't hear the person you're trying to talk to on the phone, no commission (unless you are a pod leader. ops people had their sales commission opportunities taken away), new policies put into place almost weekly and then slowly get swept under the rug, micro-managing (the office is full of adults, if someone can't do their job then just get rid of them instead of constantly watching over them), incredibly high turnover rate (when I started there were roughly 20 people in the office, now there are 7 people in the office. they also fire people at the end of every quarter). There is no upward mobility with this company. If you want to become a pod leader, you will have to wait until a pod leader quits or gets fired. Also, you will work 50+ hours a week and you will only get one pay increase. The President/CEO of the company recently hired an outside person to be the new CEO. That's never a good sign for a company.

It's unfortunate you were uncomfortable in your working environment and we couldn't have accommodated you better. Employee reviews are held quarterly and these types of issues should be presented during these meetings.

Pros

The office is very large, nice, and new. It is also very empty due to the lack of employees, there is plenty of room to bounce a ball off the wall and pace around while on your headset though. Often times when the VPs from Dallas come to your office, they buy the office lunch in hopes that you all feel obligated to stay and work the hour you have for lunch, instead of leaving for it that day. The VPs also come up with new ways to do things weekly or monthly, so if you dislike a way you are told to do something, no fear, it'll change soon! When it changes, it really changes, it's like they forgot how they had you do something previously. You can listen to whatever music you want, as loud as you want. No radio edit music here, let the expletives fly, it gets you fired up to make money! Motivational emails are sent daily, sometimes hourly, to remind you to take the food from the competition's mouths'. There are also emails that are sent to tell you when you are performing poorly, never when you are doing well. You wouldn't want to send emails out to your employees when they do something well, that would just give them big heads and give them a reason to want to continue to do well. You have to constantly remind them when they mess up so that they feel like a failure and begin to hate their job. Also, the trick about those emails is to never tell them the steps or give them tips on how to do better, it's just to make sure they know they messed up. There is no point in learning how to do something better when at R2 Logistics.

Cons

There are too many cons to list them all. If you value a work/life balance, do not seek employment here. If you value not being discriminated against, do no seek employment here. If you want the work you do to be valued, do not seek employment here. If you are a person of color or a female, you will most likely be the only one in your office.

We celebrate our employees and all their hard work by planning quarterly team building events. This is just one way our employees are thanked among many others; which includes free lunches.
