Like most employers, COVID-19 has had a significant impact on our business. We understand and appreciate that causes an impact on our employees as well. As you stated, a number of our staff experienced temporary furloughs, and as a result of needing to reduce operating hours, some associates were asked to work earlier shifts or had their hours reduced. As you also shared, in an effort to recognize our staff for their flexibility and commitment to patient care during this truly unprecedented time, we did implement a $2 increase for all patient-facing roles. In addition, anyone who was furloughed or had their hours reduced was provided a retention package, which included an additional week of PTO and a bonus to be paid after the furlough period is over. Based on your review comment that your hours were reduced to half, you would have received notification about that retention package as well. The shift differential is set up to pay associates an additional differential if their work time meets certain criteria, generally meaning they are working second shift or the weekend. Shift differentials are common in healthcare to compensate for working what is often considered a less desirable shift. The differential is for the shift, so if you are now working day hours, that differential would not be added to your rate. Again, we recognize the impact this has on you personally. As soon as we are able to expand our hours again and have you work your normal evening shift, your hours worked will qualify you for the shift differential. In addition, we have put a number of policies and procedures into place to limit the exposure of our staff to COVID-19 and to ensure our team’s safety is a top priority. Let’s get through this together.

Corp ill, local well

Pros

Local management, limited weekends, good co-workers

Cons

Always short-staffed, and not compensated for it. Businesses need $, but that is all they care about. Corporate decreases power of local centers, corp forces all local to be open on observed holidays when isn't financially beneficial and detriment to employees. The worst is how they handled coronavirus. They will not even pay for leave if employees get sick from a patient.

We are a national organization and have worked to leverage our size to provide value and expertise to each of our local markets. Like most organizations, our goal is to have consistency in our service levels, policies, and procedures throughout the organization, so if a patient is seen in Maine, Wisconsin, or Oregon, they have the same high-quality experience. Yes, we will be open on Friday, July 3 to provide access to our patients; all of our centers will be closed on Saturday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. We have worked diligently to make the safety of our associates and patients a top priority and have put into place a number of policies and procedures to limit exposure of our teams to COVID-19. While it is unlikely to occur with our screening and personal protective equipment procedures in place, if an associate were to contract COVID-19 from a patient, they would be eligible for payment through our worker’s compensation insurance program.

Pros

Decent pay. Everyone is respectful for the most part. I received an increase in pay and decent PTO.

Cons

There was not a lot of accountability for other front office staff. The leadership was often disorganized. At the time of my employment, our supervisor was replaced and after that there were a lot of complaints about management by my coworkers.

Thanks for the review. We just hired a new Administrative Operations Manager for the Orlando market and are excited about the experience, energy, and organization she will bring to the team.
