      Cons

      REI prides itself on being an inclusive environment but once you face harassment there, you learn that even as you go up the chain of command, they do not care about your safety. Whether it be sexual harassment, racism, or other bigotry, REI only cares about not being sued. If you're not worried about being harassed or protection from harassment, I'm sure you'll get along nicely here.

      Recent outside leadership hires (last 3/4 years) rotting the core of what made REI a great/different type of company to work for Very top heavy for a Co-op, sometimes multiple VP/DVP/EVP per business line Painfully SLOW to get anything committed to (funded) and executed on. Constantly changing priorities dictated by a small group of leaders without much consideration/input from the rank and file Too Focused on keeping legacy products hobbling along (build) instead of modernizing highly flexible 3rd party eCommerce tools (buy)
