Pros

This has been the best company I have worked for! They really seem to take their employees feedback and strive to be better. The culture is amazing, everyone is willing to help out when needed! This is a company you can really grow professionally at. There are countless ways to work on your own professional development whether through provided E-learnings, internal trainings, etc. RLI is just a wonderful company that puts their people first!

Pros

Creating and maintaining a great company culture is a top priority for executive leadership and they continually show that they care about their employees through events, flexible work policy, benefits, and more.

Cons

Peformance expectations from management are sometimes unclear, which can make it difficult to understand priorities and measure success consistently.

Great if you are not in Claims

Pros

ESOP, fantastic colleagues and culture.

Cons

RLI’s mantra that different works does not apply to claims. The workloads are unmanageable, expectations are ever changing and more upper management than actual claim handlers. Everyone has ideas for more ways to handle claims & just adds things to the “to-do list.” Turnover is atrocious & we are told there is a plan but it’s too little too late. The claims culture is a gotcha mentality. Should it continue there won’t be anyone left. It’s also impossible to post out to a different department or line of business.
