Intelligent people Conservative growth approach - no wild profit swinging goals Not afraid to make hard market decisions Good work-life balance

Cons

Management styles (can't speak to entire organization) Marketed as flat organization but not actively managed as such Not a lot of growth opportunity if not in Peoria (can't speak to all departments)

Pros

RLI is very supportive of new employees and has a smooth on-boarding process. The total benefits package is great and there is a very nice work-life balance that allows more flexibility than all other insurance companies. The company performs well financially and provides stability to the employees who work here both now and in the future. Highly recommend!

Cons

A few of the office locations are not in the most desirable areas of the U.S. to live.
