Be careful. Ask yourself if your values are aligned to RS. Dig deep and ask many questions for example how did this position come about? Am I replacing someone who is already in the position I am applying for?

Pros

pre 2016/17 The People and the Culture RS had a phenomenal culture within the business, encouraging staff to do their best, empowering people to get on with the job, created a sense of wellbeing and that you played a part in this Big Machine. Training was exemplary and you were encouraged to challenge yourself as well as the business. At the time you had a work life balance and rewarded in some instances with days and weekends away with the family which was expensed by the company.

Cons

None at the time as I thoroughly enjoyed working at RS and feeling part of a Great Team.

Pros

Some nice people. Canteen food is nice and well priced. Gardens are lovely to walk around for a mini break.

Cons

Management don't listen to you when you have an issue. Went to HR several times to complain about a new manager (now left) and nothing was done. Was bullied to the point of being sick and stressed. Sacked for being off for 2 months due to a serious injury. Instead of helping me back into my role, they got rid of me. Treated like rubbish and no respect from anyone. Basically if your face doesn't fit or management don't like you, don't bother applying for any RS job. To be honest, the amount of redundancies going on in there, don't bother. Was even told I couldn't have pink hair anymore, friend was told she couldn't have purple either, despite having it that like that for ages before the new CEO took over.
