Pros

Great Location, Excellent Atmosphere and Company Pay / Benefits

Cons

Lots of people deny this but PPC doesnt work for RS Components there is no incremental benefit to the business. They only do it so certain senior managers can claim a bonus.

RS taking a new direction

Pros

RS has always been a company that is invested in its people. They have never been afraid to throw money and training at a gap in capability. Big believers in work/life balance, not always reflected in workload, but they are ethically in the right place. Great community spirit at RS, work and play together.

Cons

The projects they embark on can be knee jerk, or poorly sighted. Frequently hampered by a board of directors more occupied with share holder happiness rather than what is good for the business. There is a tendency towards micro management recently. Over emphasis on data science. Relationships are being sacrificed for commercial aggression. This is a result of Top down forecasting, based on crystal ball gazing, and making promises to shareholders, and the city, that they aren't in a position to fulfil.

Pros

Good pension. Working from home.

Cons

No training, no longevity, mass redundancies, pay imbalances (I was on 20% more basic sal than most of my team). Inadequate equipment, slow running laptops, no stationary available for staff. Unfair KPI’s (4 hour call time).
