Pros

RTC made me feel like I was part of the “family.” Everyone cares so deeply about each other. The Fun Friday schedule — off at 2:30 on Fridays, working 37.5 hours (but paid for full time) was definitely a perk.

Cons

There aren’t many cons to working here.

Pros

You are off early on Fridays.

Cons

There is no technology in the Accounting Department whatsoever. No one should manage their AR on an Excel spreadsheet and you should not have to download reports into a TEXT format and then take HOURS to clean up the file so it is usable. They are absolutely archaic and you do not want to work here as there are no opportunities for advancement. This is the 4th time I have seen this job posted in the last 2 years. That should tell you everything you need to know.

Pros

A family owned business that is growing quickly. Worked for RTC for over 10 years and worked in various roles that gave me the opportunity to travel the world. I've visited China, Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan, India, Brazil, Costa Rica, Mexico and Canada. It was a very enriching experience. - The organization is growing quickly. Some growth opportunities are available. - Good benefits: (some examples) - BCBS Medical - 401k with employer matching (Vanguard) - Dental - Flex spending for both Medical and Daycare - Life insurance - Fun Fridays, leave work at 2:30. - Great people to work with. - Opportunity to learn a lot of the POP business. My overall experience at RTC has been positive and would be open to returning to RTC for the right opportunity.

Cons

RTC has a lot to offer, while my overall experience at RTC has been positive, there is room for improvement. I would recommend RTC to a friend who want to gain experience in the POP business, with the understanding of the following CONS. - The overall goal of the organization is not clearly stated. At times it seems the organization contradicts itself. - RTC in the past few years has grown quickly. It has not recruited the necessary personal to support the growth. - There are a lot of silos within the organization. Instead of working together each department has their own priorities and none of them are in sync. - The overall pay is fair. - Raises are minimal, usually 2 to 4 % and I'm a top performer. I can't imaging what a lower performer would get. Make sure you negotiate a good starting salary. - Bonus are crap shoot. The bonus matrix changes every year and they are very confusing. - The warehouse is 40 miles away from the main office. This makes it very difficult to address any issues with your program in a timely fashion. - Working hours between warehouse and corporate office are not inline. It challenging to address issues in a timely fashion. - No professional development to speak of, and one of the main reason they continue to lose quality employees. - Low morale, for all the reasons I listed above.
