      stay away! this company will ruine your career

      Pros

      lame and disinterested upper management. Nobody is working.

      Cons

      No career perspective. Use as a stepping stool and leave after 6 month. Anything past that is a waste of your time. This institute is on its last limb. Nothing state of the art. Equipment is outdated, fresh ideas are not developed.

      Pros

      Interesting work, very supportive culture, excellent training and professional development opportunities, many career growth opportunities, meaningful mission, excellent benefits.

      Cons

      There are not really any downsides to working at RTI. It's not always perfect but the culture is one that is continually improving.

      Pros

      -- flexible hours -- very decent pay rate; excellent in fact; though no bennies -- no office politics, little contact with supervisor -- meet wide variety of people -- physically active, not sitting all the time, and outdoors a lot -- time off every quarter; plenty of off time to enjoy rest of life (albeit at the cost of low income)

      Cons

      -- they are often anal about trifling details -- verbose and very poorly written scripts which must be repeated verbatim -- numerous forms must be filled out precisely -- working outdoors in lousy weather -- unnecessary "refusal conversion" obsession, leading to discomfort of both interviewer and subject -- probably no realistic opportunity for advancement; once an FI grunt, always an FI grunt
