Pros

Very flexible in regards to work-life balance; 10% of salary deposited into a Pension Plan after a year of employment

Cons

Constant re-organization without any tangible benefit to rest of business Senior management and researchers treatment of people in the Overhead Functions (i.e. Finance, Legal, Procurement, IT) as roadblocks and general lack of respect for you if you are not a PhD Most groups have an Administrative Assistant that is your only outlet for communication to that group Little investment in technology (SAP, etc) Tactical and redundant aspects of non-project work Outdated technologies
