Pros
This was a great place to start a career. It's a fun, laid-back (almost too laid-back) culture in the SSC, and there are a lot of opportunities to get some interesting hands-on experience there. A lot of the people are great and they know how to have a good time. Not afraid to take risks and try new things.
Cons
Working in a family business is interesting. Lots of politics, and no real room from growth since all top positions will be filled by family members. In general, the company is run by young, inexperienced recent grads. It's genuinely strange that they can't seem to attract or keep middle-aged to older talent, and it's a shame because they could really use the guidance and experience that group could bring. Succession planning tends to be a farce and they love to try and get their inexperienced managers to dole out career coaching advice. Many execs started with the company and almost no new executive-level talent lasts long if they weren't part of the original crew. Most decision making is rushed and follows QT's latest idea.
