Pros

Stable company and hard to get fired if you play their game

Cons

Management is not promoted on merit or achievement, just who likes who. No one really cares how much money you save or how your projects are ran, just that correct people are copied on emails and boss knows whats going on so they can sit in one of their 3000 meetings a day and say something

Pros

The pay is good and the company is growing quickly leading to opportunity for the right people. If you prefer to talk about the great job you are doing to actually executing and making the company money, this is the job for you.

Cons

-Company claims that one of its guiding principals is "Prefers directness to politics", but they do not stand by this. Anyone that speaks their mind is labeled as negative unless they are toeing the company line. -No pay raises for store team members, management or associates in over four years. -The company would rather see you fail following the procedures drawn up by someone in an office, that has never worked in a store, than succeed by thinking outside the box. Once again, you will be labeled as negative if you suggest altering the procedure to work in the store.

Pros

Work isn't super hard. Relaxed dress code, relaxed schedule, nice office, generally nice people. Strong kool-aid culture.

Cons

Agree completely with a previous reviewer who said: "there is a lot of nepotism and a culture of cliques. If you are not accepted within certain cliques or not a favored person of management despite you work ethic you may not get promotions or even post into lateral jobs." Lots of 20-30 year olds trying to run a business. Senior management has no experience outside of RaceTrac. Family drama - the CEO Allison Moran got kicked out by her dad, the chairman of the board, in late summer 2017 and no one really knows why. They are trying to be a food retailer when all people see them as is a gas station.
