Pros

I have been with TMP for over 10 years. Since joining the company we have experienced tremendous growth, especially internationally. TMP is a great place to work because you get to work on or with some of the world's most recognized brands thanks to our strong product offering and award winning creative portfolio. Each company has very unique needs and we are constantly challenged to develop innovative strategies and solutions to address their needs. Since we attract a higher level of candidate because of the brands we support, I get to work with some of the greatest minds in the business. No one ever says no when you ask for help and its amazing how everyone comes together to make it happen. In my role, I am given the freedom to develop my own business and am given the support to do so - but I am expected to deliver. I have not been limited to working just in the office I am based - I made it known that I wanted to work in other markets, this was shared with our CEO, so she allowed me the opportunity work out of our London office on a project and has left the door open for me to relocate anywhere in the world should I want to. Although the work is high pace, the company does value work/life balance and that is important to me.

Cons

Because of the brands we work with, the demands can be intense given the competition and the need to constantly evolve as a company and with our products. Not everyone can handle that type of intensity. If you are an individual who cannot handle an active pace and would prefer a slower pace, this may not be the place for you. Beyond the pace, we are changing/evolving consistently - if you don't like change, TMP may not be for you.

My Second Family

Pros

This year marks my 20th anniversary of working at TMP Worldwide and in looking back over the years, TMP truly has been my second family. The support, opportunity and loyalty I've experienced over the years from this company has been unwavering, and I am grateful for every moment of my time here. Here are my top 5 Pros: - My coworkers now and over the years are some of the best friends I have ever had. They're funny (at times irreverent), supportive, collaborative, loyal and trustworthy -- they're the people I'd CHOOSE to be down in the trenches with. - I work with incredibly insightful, smart and savvy people, true knowledge experts in their various subject matter areas, who are always more than willing to share their knowledge and help solving client or internal challenges. - Because TMP has more of an entrepreneurial environment, I've been able to work on a variety of projects, problem-solve in innovative, unconventional ways, travel to and work in many different TMP offices around the globe. I've lived in Boston, San Francisco and New York, and gone on short-term assignments in cities like London and Amsterdam. - I’ve had the privilege of watching this company evolve over the years, from a recruitment ad agency to a software solutions provider, through economic booms and recessions, through acquisitions and spin-offs. I watched as market and technology influences shaped who we were as a company, and marveled that all along the way, we have remained nimble enough to continue to change and adapt. Were there growing pains along the way? Of course, but from my vantage point of longevity, I realized that senior management always had their eyes on the trees without losing sight of the forest. - When life changes have arisen in my life, TMP has been so sensitive and accommodating to my needs -- when I had children, I was able to move into a role with a flexible schedule. When my brother passed away, I was able to take as much time as I needed to spend time with him, and many coworkers as well as the CEO of our company were so kind and contributed to the memorial fund for him.

Cons

As with any family, we have lots of good times, and sometimes we have days that can be frustrating or overwhelming. There have been individuals in management positions at the local office level who have, in the past, negatively impacted the environment of that office. BUT, since then, Senior Management has done a great job of identifying the bad apples and putting new, more effective managers in place. No company is perfect, and the bumps in the road I’ve experienced here a) are usually fleeting, and b) serve as learning experiences that help me grow as both an employee AND a person. Most times, though, I just look forward to coming into work to catch up with my coworkers, dig into a new project, meet new people and learn something new.

Pros

TMP fosters growth and collaboration from employees. The company values contributors and frequently promotes from within. The camaraderie throughout the organization and in the Miami office is truly unique. There are very smart people creating best in class digital solutions for the world's top employers.

Cons

You will be expected to work hard. If you are someone who enjoys "coasting" this is not the place for you.
