Fattening up the pig for a sale

Pros

There are some mid-level managers who care about the culture and consequently attempt to make working at TMP more fun. There is an attempt to coordinate social group activities that do not revolve around drinking. You can get decent experience working at TMP, that you can leverage for the next step in your career.

Cons

The decision making process at this company focuses solely around what would improve its EBIDTA score and make the company more desirable to potential buyers. For employees, that means lower salaries and less long-term investment in the sustainability of the company. In fact, the company's MO is not to be sustainable, it's to be sold. There are many elements of this company - from the culture to the salaries to the way employees are treated as expendable - that are anything but sustainable, which is demonstrated in the high turnover rate and general low morale.

Pros

Overall, its not a bad place to work. The benefits are decent, work hours are ok, dress code is relaxed.

Cons

Pay is low, management is sub-par, no opportunities to advance, very aggressive and nearly unattainable sales goals, no support for employees.
