Pros

I met a lot of "battle brothers" at Radius - friends made closer by the troubles we shared. They helped me get through the day.

Cons

Radius is full of backstabbing. You will be thrown under the bus unless you throw under the bus. The boss micromanages. Not only that, but it was rumored she had "spies." I once had a private conversation outside the building on my phone, off the clock, and word somehow got back to her. "If you don't like it here, there's the door," she'd always say. That's how she started all our group meetings, also. Whether or not she has spies, she definitely has a clique of senior employees who report directly to her. One time I saw a senior employee tattle on a less-senior employee who was taking time off from work to put up Halloween decorations at her desk. It was mid October, at 8:11 in the morning when this happened (work starts at 8). I don't know why some people were so competitive. We all made the same $13/hour, with no room for promotion. Eventually the boss just laid off everyone she didn't like. Now Radius is listed as an "outsourcing" company on LinkedIn, rather than a collections company. I hate giving one-star reviews. But this place isn't even worth a single star.

Pros

give you the break time you are legally allotted, mind-numbingly easy work (at least in my department)

Cons

this place is a surveillance nightmare run by control freaks who have temper tantrums over the smallest things. they monitor everything you do (including how many bathroom breaks you take and what you do in the break rooms and hallways of our office building, which is by no means exclusively theirs). i’ve seen our office manager chew someone out publicly for being on their phone in the bathroom in a stall. NO trust in their employees whatsoever. a distinct lack of professionalism in every category. the managers treat this like a daycare full of unruly children needing a time out instead of an office full of professional working adults with their own lives. their policies toward attendance are absolutely draconian. we are tracked by a “points” system where even a doctor appointment with a note is used against you. even when natural disasters occur, they are reluctant to give you any leniency. ridiculous! known to have a catty, backstabby culture even within my relatively “chill” area of the business. on top of that, you’re expected to slave away for as little as $11 an hour doing something the rest of the people you know outside of radius can get $15+ doing (even in the same city!). they dangle the concept of a bonus in front of you but make it impossible to achieve. bosses either don’t care or are on a constant power trip with NO in-between. benefits are ridiculously expensive for what you get, especially compared to your salary. little to no opportunity for advancement and the pay raise you probably won’t be able to look forward to is laughably small. everyone I work with is on food stamps and working second and sometimes even third jobs. these are full time employees mind you. the more I look into this company, the more I regret coming to work for it. they are the very definition of everything wrong with corporate culture and structure: greedy, resource-hoarding leeches who treat their employee base like disposable trash instead of human beings. I absolutely do NOT recommend.
