Pros
The work is simple and brainless. A log in and get it done and log off kinda gig. Keep positive spirits and you may be okay for a while. An easy paycheck.
Cons
The job titled Customer Service Representative is not that…It’s really a sales job. They have you sneak that part into the call and customers are unknowing and surprised, so you ruffle a lot of feathers along the way as it feels pretty abrasive. Along with angering the majority of your callers, you will never hear from your managers or any type of superiors unless it’s them calling to give you negative feedback about your calls. I didn’t think anything of this at first and I definitely do not need cheerleaders by any means. I am 41 years old and a mother of 3. I have tough enough skin, but I have worked in managerial positions formerly for long enough that this really started to bother me after some time. Some days can get difficult. If you’re having personal trouble at home one day or your kid’s principal calls you that day, that’s going to be the day that every caller is going to feel like it beats you farther into the ground and then after that or somewhere in between, your superior will call to go over your mistakes from your prior days calls. This job IS a script reading and you may not ever read off the script. You can not speak to the customers like a human. You may not interact with them as a Normal customer service representative would. It’s on the script or you don’t say it and if you read off script you’re going to get that call. In short, the company wants bots but they also want us to sneak in those sales. But it’s really bots they want. You will feel like a brainless robot for the duration of your shift. If you need a break from actual work-this one may be for you!
