If you love to create dream vacations for clients who want to travel and enjoy traveling yourself, then look no further because Yankee Leisure Group offers both of these and more! The company culture and environment is awesome and I do truly enjoy coming to work because I found my calling and my niche. I get to talk about travel and I am able to sell these phenomenal experiences to people who dream to travel throughout North America, Europe, Asia, and beyond. The staff and management are always here to help one another because our unified goal determines our growth and success. We continue to grow as a company and seeing the growth before my eyes makes me happy to work for such a great company. When you perform and go above and beyond, management sees that potential and they’ll help you grow your career with the company. Another great pro is Familiarization Trips, which is when you travel and explore one of our packages so it will better help you when you sell to our clients. FAM Trips are a privilege and one of the many perks when working at Yankee Leisure Group. From the moment I started, till now, I am truly blessed and grateful for the opportunity that was laid before me. I thank Frank Marini (The President) and I thank John Vavrina (The Vice-President of Sales) for giving me the chance to be involved in the industry and seeing the potential in me to grow in my career. They saw something in me and I know that I am where I belong. People who work here love what they do and are passionate about their work. Being a part of something that is bigger then ourselves, is truly spectacular and I am excited to see where we go as a company! One thing is for certain, you will always learn and grow here and it is up to you to apply yourself. Yankee Leisure Group gives you the tools to create success but you must want that success and growth yourself.

It’s the travel industry! It’s a fun industry to be in. If you are willing to be hardworking and dedicated, you will be appreciated and valued. YLG takes hiring within very seriously and within my time at YLG I have seen many people be promoted to a higher rank. They value giving people the opportunity to grow which is rare in large companies now days. YLG offers the opportunity to travel on their annual FAM trips to some of the top itineraries that they offer. This is a great way to not only grow within the company but to explore some amazing destinations along the way. Management, the CEO and the President are all very approachable and your opinion is really taken into account. They appreciate your feedback, you just need to be willing to talk about it. Overall this is an exciting company to be apart of if you are looking to grow your travel career.

Cons

Some minor growing pains for a company however look at the positive, they are growing at a rapid speed and with that comes opportunities for those who embrace it.

*An excellent way to start off and to also grow within the travel industry. Almost every single person that has really gone above and beyond in their roles has been promoted into salaried or management positions. The management team are willing to work with you to create a career path in the travel industry. Through hard work, dedication, reliability, and passion you can really get to where you want to be and beyond. *Great compensation for those who are determined and have a passion for vacation sales. *Selling vacations! Think about this...it is selling a fun luxury that everyone loves to do. It could be an insurance or healthcare company...not so fun. * Great people everywhere. I have made some incredibly close friends since working here and I love the fact that the CEO and President are so approachable and willing to listen to you. Because of it being a small company, it definitely has a family mentality and you feel genuinely wanted and appreciated. *The travel potential through FAM trips. Everyone can get one after a few months of working there and they are truly a fantastic experience to learn and understand what we sell/have to offer. *Wonderful travel benefits for employees. If you are trying to do some of your own travel, the benefits you get for that is quite great! *At the end of the day, it is exciting to be with a company that really does grow year over year. After being here for quite some time, it is crazy to see the growth from 1 office with 30 employees to 3 offices with 110+ employees, It is definitely a great feeling to be a part something with such rapid growth. *Generous vacation time, especially if you have been there for several years.

Cons

*Because it is still a somewhat a growing company overall, there are definitely some growing pains. But this leads to learning from the past, and improvement towards the overall growth. * No dental insurance...but once again, don't let this be a make or break. * I can't really think of anything else. Not every day is going to be perfect, but that goes with every job in life. It is a really fun company to work with, don't let these previous negative reviews turn you away.
