Pros

Great hours. Nice trainers. Great co-workers/trainees

Cons

Bad management, after training. No support or patience while still learning systems. Too slow programs and management pushing faster and faster performance. Sold travel packages and never received the commission. They gave my sales to other employees. Not fair.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your experience at our company. We appreciate the opportunity to hear from you and address your concerns. Here at Railbookers the management team is dedicated to the support, coach, and development of all team members once they have completed their six-week paid training program. The Inside Sales management team helps to facilitate a smooth transition between training to working with our customers in planning their vacations. We also offer weekly sales training, one-to-one meetings weekly and side-by-side support to all our account executives. Including regular observations, support, and feedback sessions. Relating to your comment about sales being given to another employee. Our Account Executives have complete ownership of their customers for a certain timeframe, giving them the very best opportunity to ensure they are taking great care of our customers and helping them select the right trip and departure that works for them. However, if a customer does not decide within a specific time frame, the request is open to all account executives to help the customer. This ensures our customers receive exceptional customer service and are always taken care of in a timely fashion. All Account Executives are subject to the same policies to offer fairness across the team. If you wish to provide further feedback. Please feel free to contact me or anyone in our HR department at 949-876-6747 or at Hr@railbookers.com to discuss. Thank you, Ja’Net McGhee- Employee Engagement Manager

Pros

o Professional Development & Growing Company – Railbookers Group prides itself on promoting from within and for good reason. I started with the company as an Account Executive and the experience you gain from working with our customers, understanding our product, and utilizing our systems is unmatched. In the past 6 months, we’ve promoted 15 employees from the call center since alone. There are more career growth opportunities currently open as I write this review! o Support – Not only does Railbookers offer a fully paid 6-week onboarding training, the training continues throughout your career as a member of the sales team. Those fresh out of training have dedicated team to give additional support, help close sales, and coach. Everyone in sales through the company get weekly sales training, side by side coaching, and breakout sessions to continuously help you get to the next level. Every week you get the opportunity to collaborate with your peers on best practices, challenges, and listen to live and recorded call examples. You simply get every tool and opportunity you need to achieve success. o True Sales Environment – Account Executives get the ability to engage in friendly competition daily with clear targets on an UNCAPPED commission structure. If you get an adrenaline rush from closing a sale or winning a competition, this position is for you. o Fam Trips - I personally have been able to travel to Glacier National Park, Yellowstone National Park, The Canadian Rockies, Switzerland, Italy, and experienced breathtaking train journeys. This year I will be leading a trip to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks! The trips are free, you do not need to use PTO, and you get paid while you are on them. I put this perk lower down this list because these trips are a big draw and truly incredible experiences with co-workers. While this benefit is amazing, you should join Railbookers because of the positives above it. This is just a (HUGE) bonus. o Personal Travel Benefits - You can book your own travel through Railbookers at company cost. You can also offer a discount to your friends and family! Like most other Employees at Railbookers, I’ve booked a trip almost every year and have taken advantage of this benefit to get significantly discounted travel. The company also gives you travel credits as a service award starting at 5 years of employment. I used mine on my first trip to Alaska! o Fully Remote Work – Gone are the days of commuting to and from work for Railbookers. How you spend that time you get back is up to you. This is by no means a "feet up" position, but we’ve gotten so used to working in our slippers every day that Railbookers just sent everyone in the company a new pair.

Cons

o If you do not like to be continuously challenged, do not want feedback, not interested in consistent development, do not enjoy high level multitasking, and don’t prefer fast paced or goal driven environments, Railbookers may not be a fit for you. o Railbookers is a rapidly growing company! There are obvious positives working for a growing company but there are also challenges. As the company grows, some processes grow with it and change is required. You’ve got to be someone who does well in dynamic environments. Railbookers is always improving. So, if change or being able to pivot and think on your feet scares you, you may not enjoy working at Railbookers. o In every interview I always get asked the same question “What is it you like most about working with Railbookers?” and my answer is always the same. “You are consistently challenged. Just when you get good at one thing, there is another step right behind it. You are always pushed to continue to develop and sharpen your skillset no matter what position you are in.” Sales itself is a “what have you done lately?” role. Just because you had a great call doesn’t mean you automatically have a great day, having a great day doesn’t mean you automatically have a great week, and having a great week doesn't mean you automatically have a month. The same goes for bad calls, days, weeks, and months. Consistency is key and I LOVE that constant challenge. I also recognize that this type of environment is not for everyone.
