Pros

Rain Bird is an industry leader with international presence and a commitment to offering high quality products. Compensation (salary plus bonus) is generally competitive or slightly above average. Rain Bird hires fantastic people.

Cons

There is a general lack of direction, knowledge sharing, and understanding at the senior management level about the value and capital that its personnel provide to the brand. This creates a high percentage turnover environment, an overall lack of expertise and subject matter expertise within many technical areas, and low employee morale.

Pros

Benefits are above average. Talented engineers.

Cons

The leadership puts zero value on relationship, with employees or customers. There is absolutely no concern for retaining good people. High emphasis on Marketing and decisions on made from Marketing Managers and Directors who have no industry knowledge or ability to listen to customers needs. Succession Planning objectives are subjective and completely outdated. Perfromance is based upon a subjective opinion of personality rather than results. Senior level positions are given to those who say yes the most. A dissenting voice is not valued even when the goal is to imporve customer realtionships. I can't imagine a corporate culture more toxic.

Pros

Adequate compensation and benefits, they hire and then let go some of the very best people I have ever worked with,

Cons

without high level education there is no chance for advancement, lack of communication from senior management as to the future goals of the company, actions indicate the company is being groomed to be sold, senior management makes no effort to retain highly competent employees
