      It's a free-spirited, start-up feel but with a financial backing of a large Japanese corporation

      Pros

      Can be casually dressed, office space is fun and has a collaborative feel. There is some opportunity for advancement. Exciting prospects in the pipeline for some big new client implementations. Young and innovative atmosphere.

      Cons

      The senior management team is at over-capacity and traveling a lot. This causes some communication problems amongst the management team. We are lacking resources, and need to ramp up recruiting, especially for engineers. We lack a full time IT support personnel, causing delays in everyday office tasks.

      Pros

      Since we're still a small, new company, there is a lot of freedom to improve, create new process, and be involved. There are lots of little perks like Costco runs, company events, and Monday meetings.

      Since we're still a small, new company, there is a lot of freedom which can carry over to lack of accountability and responsibility.

      Pros

      Employees are trusted. Employees are invested in - traveling, conferences, classes, etc. Free Food. Employees can expand their skills easily because there are a lot of projects to get involved in. Employees grow quickly because some members of upper management are great subject matter experts and invest their time in educating employees.

      Cons

      Young co-workers leads to an unproductive work environment at times. Developer driven company is risky and can, and sometimes does, lead to poor business decisions. Decisions are skewed towards what the parent company, Rakuten, would like rather than what's good for FreeCause. No investment in research.
