Pros

Big company, paychecks generally arrived on time. There were ice creams in the fridge. Covered parking.

Cons

Poor, remote management. Full of lifers from Buy.com, folks who dressed like Britney Spears and had been there 12 years but did little if anything as far as I could tell. "Embedded employees"?. Awful experience. Wretched feel to the place. My first day of work as a remote employee involved four phone meetings. Two were calls from my "boss" to talk about the meetings coming up....in 15 minutes. "Wait didn't we just HAVE a meeting, and aren't we having another meeting in 15 minutes..."?

Pros

- Friday Lunch - Wednesday Breakfast -Snacks - Close to Transportation

Cons

Books are great for references but the President of this company is literally using a book to run the organization... "The 4 Disciplines of Execution". It’s literally driving the company into the ground. Let's start from the beginning shall we: - Restructuring of the company and upper management. Not one woman or person of color was on the new team. - Promoting the new team into departments they know nothing about. What does a Sales guy on Display know about SPIs? Or a Search Guy know about Affiliate? or an Affiliate guy about Sports Marketing (that guy left btw). - What the recruiter won't tell you- THEY ARE LAYING PEOPLE OFF! - Investing too much time on a poor product like Display but covering it up saying they are pushing Omni. They say they have other products but they honestly have Affiliate and a poor Display product because their Attribution doesn't really exist. - They are placing people in positions for jobs they know nothing about but expect the staff, who have been there for years, to train them on how to do the job - Tony Zito, CEO , loves to talk about himself but never gives any direction -Stuart Simms, President, has no real direction and is literally making it up as he goes along by using a book. The experienced and unpaid teams can tell its amateur hour with him. - Directors and Executives play favorites in an unprofessional way. They promote their friends and those who will gossip with them. I take offense to the review that stated if you can't be successful at Rakuten Marketing its your own fault. That's a complete lie. If you don't find success it's because of over compensated entitled executives who would rather put a pretty girl in a position she isn't meant for OR hire their pal.
