No regard for employees

Pros

They can get you a paycheck at least.

Cons

Once you are placed on a contract position, they give no regard to you again until you become USEFUL to them once more. If you are expecting them to think of you for positions that come up that might be a better fit, or in the area you really want... forget it. And if a position comes up in an area outside of the office you currently set up with.. do NOT expect that they communicate. They could do so much better by those serving their clients than what they do by checking in with them to see how they are doing/liking the job; as well as cross-region/location communication.

Randstad is pretty terrible

Pros

The recruiters are really nice.

Cons

Randstad seriously needs to get their ducks in a row. Between the thousand different divisions, none of them talk to one another, so you may be submitted as a candidate to a client by one division, while another division is calling you saying that they came across your resume online, rather than in their system. Why are their Applicant Tracking Systems not linked? What decade are they living in? Apart from that, you NEVER hear back from the recruiter on the roles that you are submitted to, they waste your time and money coming in for an interview that will never get you a job, and their clients are completely non-communicative with them as well. It was just an overall terrible experience trying to get a job through them. Most staffing firms are pretty pathetic, but this particular company just added insult to injury with how many phone calls I received from recruiters from the SAME COMPANY, when they already should have been able to see every interaction I had had with one of THEIR OWN recruiters. Get it together, Randstad.

Pros

The salary you are able to make is very good, and you are essentially in-charge of your own desk.

Cons

They encourage you to fit candidates that are not the right fit into roles, and have created an internal culture of back-stabbing and jealousy.
