      Small company trying to transition into a mid market financial services firm but not making the needed changes.

      Pros

      Ability to move internally among different businesses, get to know many people in the firm because of the size.

      Cons

      HR function is completely broken, major turnover last summer in every group, you'd go to see someone you knew and be told that they'd left, same thing would happen again weeks later with another person.

      Pros

      Advisors were highly motivated and always put the client first. I had a very flexible schedule and the work was very enjoyable. I networked with other advisors and their clients and it has helped me in my career.

      None that i can think of.

      Pros

      Very competitive environment. A lot of new products being brought in so opportunity to learn is tremendous.

      Cons

      The full time staff treat consultants very poorly. The managers rely on particular people to review performance of the contractors without actually engaging in meetings with them to set expectatiosn and assess accomplishments. The FTEs are very insecure and the upper management should work to make it easy for the contractors and FTEs to be able to work in unison.
