Pros

It was remote at the time, and had typically good experience with project managers.

Cons

UX leadership did not make employees feel valued. Some leaders were very unclear with direction, and made some feel that we had to walk on eggshells with all design choices. Passive aggressive environment that I’ve not experienced with any other established design team. I did not feel fully valued or respected here.

We truly appreciate you taking the time to leave a review and share your experience. It's valuable for us to understand where we can improve, and we are genuinely disappointed to hear that your experience with UX leadership left you feeling undervalued and that you encountered unclear direction and a passive aggressive atmosphere. We understand how disheartening this can be, and it's certainly not the experience we want any of our team members to have. We are committed to building a workplace where everyone feels respected, valued and empowered to contribute their best work through healthy collaboration and clear communication. Your feedback is important as we continue to learn and grow.

Pros

Great collaboration with on your own product, flexible PTO, ok pay. Really the PTO and the horrible job market is the only reason I have stayed with this company.

Cons

Poor executive management. RealPage claims to be agile, but it's just waterfall that pretends to be agile due to c-suite last minute decisions. Been skipped over for a raise 2 years in a row with no explanation. No collaboration outside of your own product.

Pros

The only positive aspect of working at RealPage is that the position is remote, allowing for some flexibility in where you work.

Cons

The demands placed on Tier 1 support agents are overwhelming, and the pay does not reflect the intensity or volume of work we handle. The Omni-channel system ensures that cases come in non-stop—it’s like trying to fight Medusa, with new challenges constantly appearing as soon as one is resolved. Lack of diversity in upper management. Individual contributions are rarely recognized. There is a lack of positive reinforcement or motivation from management; instead, feedback primarily focuses on what we’re doing wrong or complaints from others. The new initiative to be overly nice with clients—essentially prioritizing excessive kindness over resolving issues efficiently—feels misguided, especially since it’s driven by the need to compensate for the frequent glitches and shortcomings in the software. The quality assurance (QA) process is demoralizing. Even if you fully resolve a case to the client’s satisfaction and leave them absolutely delighted with the outcome, QA can still score you as low as 40 for minor oversights. For instance, forgetting to attach a single document or asking one too many questions to gain clarity can negate all the hard work you put into resolving the issue effectively. The work culture lacks collaboration, with team members frequently responding to questions with condescending attitudes rather than offering support. Training is insufficient to prepare agents for the workload. Sessions are often rushed and unrealistic, leaving employees scrambling to meet expectations. The PTO system is another pain point. Lower-level employees accumulate PTO hours slowly and often struggle to get approval for time off due to limited availability and poor scheduling policies.
