Pros

Not the worst job in the world. I've met some decent people.

Cons

Bad benefits that have absolutely no administration. Very poor culture and morale. Leadership was placed in position based on politics and personality rather than skill. Incredibly micro-managed -- the CEO has to approve everything. No strategic direction. Unclear job roles. Outdated work method of sitting at desk all day rather than telecommuting.

Pros

Unlimited PTO (actually is applicable as stated) - i believe this is what keeps people afloat and hopeful. Multiple learning opportunities because of vast product options (self paced, all up to you wanting better.)

Cons

We were told compensation structure was changing for the better and they proceeded to make 10k paycuts to majority of the department, additionally, they made our bonus metrics unrealistic, so we took a hit on pay in our bonuses as well. Pay cuts took place, and raises have been delayed, and when they came around they were 1-2% each time for mostly everyone (not considering inflation at all). They laid people off but said it wasn't a necessity, and proceeded to ask more of employees. Announcing that they're changing our compensation structure again, it's hard not to feel jaded after the changes revolving pay. Especially when families depend on their full time jobs to create a sense of security when it comes to finances. Lots of changes - lack of training that is actually productive and keeps employees in mind. They ask for feedback and take what they want (sliver of the issues) and say "we hear you". Moral is low. Leadership lacks diversity.

Pros

The best thing to happen to this company in the last 4 years was that they went to a mostly Remote status for employees (US Based) and they went to a "take time as you need it" method for time off. The lower level employees on the ground really are the culture, personality and true value of this company.

Cons

From the VP level up, they've already determined that it's either the employees or the profits, so don't expect any advancement or promotion before getting laid off or quiet fired. This company may quiet promote you however that's just more work and stress without compensation to make up for it. Leadership gaslights the employees into believing the company is doing well, but its' not for the employees. The continual layoffs is a way for the company to acquire revenue/previously salaries in order to seem profitable in order to achieve the goal of eventually going public, at the cost of every employee that help make the company successful. It's poor and callus business strategy. Every since the equity firm took over this company has been going through an identity crisis because leadership doesn't seam to know what this company is and relies on outside consulting firms to tell them how to run it and who to let go. Lower management tries their best to mitigate disaster for their direct reports but is often over ruled by vp's who won't listen. there is a definitive break down in communication at that level and therefore an impasse.
