It was great until Thoma Bravo

Pros

Amazing colleagues who truly care about their job and want to help people out. The people here are truly hard workers and are great to work with.

Cons

The only con before the Thoma Bravo merger was there were upper leadership who micromanaged everything. I spend as much time as working on projects as I do providing constant updates of where a project is at and how much time is being taken on all the projects. After the Thoma Bravo merger: - the first wave of layoffs has already occurred and it looks like another wave is occurring. You'll be emailing someone within the company one day and the next day they are no longer active. - Attrition is already happening since everyone is worried if they will be next - people are accepting to work longer hours with more pressure in order to not be picked next for the chopping block. All the while senior leadership continues to say no one is being let go. I have nothing but respect for my colleagues and anyone who wishes to work here. Just be prepared that RealPage is no longer the same company after the Thoma Bravo merger. Goodluck to any future RealPagers!

Thank you for your post. It is a new day at RealPage and once we get a few things sorted out, we anticipate that RealPage will continue to be a great company. To build up the trust that we are on the right track will take some time with a new CEO that will start shortly. No one likes to see anyone leave the company and in short order this will be stabilized. I know that you mark the outlook as negative. I would ask you to give it a chance and your expectations will hopefully will be exceeded. Sincerely, Kurt Twining

Pros

Covered parking. Nothing else at all

Cons

Horrible company. Terrible company. Every person I've known that was employed by this company has left and gone to the competitors. Reviews don't lie - I could go on and speak extremely poorly on personal experiences and experiences that I have witnessed firsthand. Senior leadership act like they care but they absolutely don't, everyone is treated like a number. Also, don't be sold on the building. It's not owned and they will sell you on the on the amenities.

Thank you for your post. A lot of anger in this post. Just for the record we have employees who have been with the company for over 30 years. Our engagement scores are at an all time and exceed Fortune Most Admired levels. We have just won two Great Place to Work awards in India and the US. I'm sorry you had a bad experience working here and will be open to learn more about that (x4016),. We wish you nothing but the best in your future endeavors. Sincerely, Kurt Twining

"Good 'Ol Boy"-system.

Pros

Minimum opportunity for pay increase based on overall job performance throughout the year. The company is active in the community and hold active functions in the work environment. They provide decent benefits.

Cons

Shackled and stranded to department and job title based on "skill set". Restricts possible opportunities to move up or to be promoted to a desired job title/department. Absent communication and missing informative dialect regarding direct, relative information between management vs team-members. Advertise false information and promote misleading arrangements among all team-members. The company allows a hostile and uncomfortable work environment among certain individuals. Flaunt unfair treatment toward employees who have mastered outstanding performance, who are also neglected by their superior work ethics, not withstanding seniority. Reward favored employees who supply untruthful information about other working team members, yielding facts. A biased work atmosphere where partiality is apparent, limiting qualified team-members.

I found your post troubling as that is not the impression of what is happening based on engagement survey reports and feedback. Having said that you are entitled to your opinion and experience. I would like you to visit with Rob Felkel, our HR leader onsite to see if we can unwind this experience and open the doors to what you would like to pursue. Would you reach out to Rob. He is a great guy and I know he will try diligently to help you. Sincerely, Kurt Twining
