Pros

When I joined RealPage, there were opportunities for growth, there was an aggressiveness to competing in the market place, and there was the ability to innovate and make a difference. There are still groups within RealPage that are that way, but they seem to be a dying breed.

Cons

RealPage has moved most of its development to India or the Philippines. They don't really innovate much anymore - they are mostly in maintenance mode. I've heard they are now an Agile shop and certainly engineering in the US has been significantly reorganized, but those I've talked to who still work there say it is window dressing, and nothing has really changed. Often, the people who are really good do not get promoted - they get sidelined. I guess it depends on the division/product.

High tech industry with a niche in property management

Cons

Micro managed, no high tech advantages such as telecommuting, low trust inconsistent policies low employee morale and satisfaction employee initiative not recognized - maintain the status quo seems to be the way

Pros

This is a perfect place for people who want a steady and secure job but are not interested in career advancement and opportunity to grow and expand their talent.

Cons

A technology company entirely run by non-technical business people who are completely clueless. Total lack of communication between technical and business team. Business folks are highly respected including the dumb and clueless ones (yes, there are so many out there) but at the same time, the technical folks are not well respected. Senior management is always reactive and never proactive.
