Annual salary increases as long as you're a hard worker, and there are plenty of opportunities to change what you work on.

Thank you for your post. You've identified some key things. We do recognize and reward hard workers and there are certainly many career opportunities to grow in to. Your con is something I see and it is called Pacesetting. Sometimes leaders in their zest for speed or control, will reach into the project. At RealPage, we take our leaders through something called MGL or Making Great Leaders and they learn about their dominant and back up leadership styles. Pacesetting is alive and well in RealPage, and at Pepsi, Verizon, Unilever, Freescale Semiconductor, etc. It is the dominant style across this land. Now having said that, there are times when you have to look your leader in the eye and say. "We got this" It may take a few times, but what I have learned is the smart one's get it and they build trust with you. I like your advice, its spot on and it reinforces the RealPage promise. " We will make decisions no higher in the organization than is necessary." Thanks again for reminding us that we have some really, great smart people all over this organization. Sincerely, Kurt Twining

Pros

Well run company with incredible potential to improve and entire industry. All of our products are focused on making people's lives better. Realpage has done a terrific job with hiring kind, smart people who you really want to work with. It's nice being with a company that is already "public" because if you're lucky enough to get some stock options, they may be worth something someday. Lots of private companies promise the moon and then never deliver. Plus, management changes often enough that most people have an opportunity to move up if they want to.

Cons

Depending on where you live our move to Richardson could be a longer or shorter drive for you. For me, it's longer. However, my schedule is flexible enough that I can miss some of the worst rush hour times.

Thank you for your post. You are right to point out that we are growing and 68% of the jobs are filled within. I also believe that as we are building the right type of company for the long run and the value of the company will rise, more great jobs will be available, and then we strengthen our brand by building out a new headquarters that increases the cultural volume of who we are. The new Richardson campus will be a tremendous step forward from where we are today. Your advice is well taken. Sincerely, Kurt Twining
